Part of a series on rewilding, this painting depicts the upland hill farm Hamatethy in Cornwall. This beautiful dam was built by beavers which are in captivity in an enclosure on the farm. These amazing creatures are very important eco system engineers using their dam building skills to build natural pools of water , storing water during droughts and providing spawning site for an abundance of aquatic life.
